DJ GAGALOVE

Born in 1969, a Scorpio, have a clean record, married and destined to be a DJ since 1992. I spent years of my childhood with my parents in the Komi (Northern USSR Republic) where for my 8th birthday I received a Russian acoustic guitar.
That was my first encounter with music. And with the cold.
Later I played the tenor in the school band. That was my first encounter with the audience. And with the band.
Since then I have been collecting music on vinyl records, rolls, tapes, and more recently CDs and other digital media.
As a student in the University of Technology in Gabrovo I started playing music in a nearby club - the favorite spot of my colleagues, and soon afterwards I earned myself a slot in the famous disco of the time, called Generations. My work back then involved all methods characteristic of the period 1990-1992 such as mixing with home modified tape decks Technics MK 04 to include a pitch control and editing music by cutting, rearranging and gluing back tape pieces.
In 1993 I bought my first couple of Technics SL1200 decks and so I started my strictly professional career as a DJ. In 1995-1996 I fell entirely for electronic music and did several gigs with fellow DJs along the Black Sea coast. I started playing regularly at major clubs and large scale events around the country and in Italy and Macedonia as well. At some of these events I played by world famous DJs such as Sven Vath, Alter Ego, Josh Wink, Devilfish, etc.
Another unforgettable experience was my residency at the Country Club, located in the Black Sea resort Sozopol, during the summer of 2000. I also like to play at small local clubs such as The Next in Stara Zagora which have unique atmosphere, long history and devoted audience.
I have also been organizing my own one-off events called 'Gravity' several times a year since 1998. They are usually attended by 200 to 400 people and feature major Bulgarian DJs.
Since summer ’07 I am resident DJ in famous Cacao Beach on Black Sea in Bulgaria. My ‘live at Cacao Beach’ mixed CD was nominated in ‘Row talent’ competition of International DJ magazine (I-DJ) in the UK and was on the pages of December 2007 issue. Later same year I have spend some time playing in Turin, Italy. Summer 2008, 2009 and 2010 - I had my residency at Cacao Beach again! My first radio show dates back to 1997 and it is strictly oriented to the underground scene and the electronic sound. It is ‘On Air’ every Sunday from 22.00 (EET) on Bulgarian National Radio – Radio Stara Zagora (www.radio-sz.net) My newest radio show ‘CACAO FEELING’ is every Monday 14:00 C.E.T at Radio Hi-Tech (Netherlands) www.radiohitec.nl . The concept here is to bring the mixture of modern European sound with some of the best upfront tracks and some of established club monsters. All this ‘IN The MIX‘ for one hour inspired from the summer afternoons on the beach!
I am always eager to explore and incorporate diverse styles in my sets and radio broadcasts. I just finished the “Backspace” track and I am working on new tracks and mixes.
Now I am looking forward to make my DJ sets as good as they could possibly be!
